Our United Way Affiliated Agencies in the Herrin Area make a
big
impact
on us and our neighbors. Just click on the “Funded Agencies” tab at the top of this page and you’ll see a great group of organizations that helps us
improve people’s lives
. That’s why we selected them for funding.
You can help us, too! By clicking on the
“Donate Now”
button
on our home
page, you can make a tax-deductible gift that will stay right here in the Herrin area. It will get us moving toward our $55,000 goal for this year’s United Way Annual Campaign and help give our Affiliated Agencies the support they need.
You can also help us by volunteering your skills, your enthusiasm, and a little bit of your time to work with us at our special events. We are also interested in hearing from community leaders who would like to be considered for membership on our Advisory Board. To get started, just click on the
“Volunteer Now”
button
on our home
page to make contact with us by e-mail. We look forward to hearing from you! As one of our
United Way
campaign slogans says,
“Together, we can accomplish what none of us can achieve alone!”

The UWSI Herrin Area board members are volunteers who devote countless hours to working on what matters: community impact. Every fall, they raise funds to make sure that the Herrin Area’s United Way Affiliated Agencies can deliver essential programs and services. Every spring, they review applications for funding from all the organizations that want to become Affiliated Agencies and make decisions about which programs should receive United Way funding and how much they should be given. Throughout the year, they work on special community events and projects. The board members are neighbors and friends of yours who are devoted to making the United Way mission a reality in the Herrin Area: mobilizing the caring power of communities to improve people’s lives.
